ABSTRACT

Este artículo trata la formación de la cultura metrológica, en los estudiantes de la Educación Preuniversitaria, desde las potencialidades del deporte y las clases de Educación Física, como uno de los elementos que debe ser priorizado en el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje de la Física y como parte de la preparación de los estudiantes para la vida. El objetivo de este trabajo consistió en diseñar un sistema de tareas docentes integradoras que permita aprovechar las potencialidades del deporte, en general, y las clases de Educación Física, en particular para la formación de la cultura metrológica en los estudiantes de décimo grado. Para el desarrollo de la investigación se utilizaron los métodos: analítico-sintético, inductivo-deductivo, modelación, observación, análisis documental, encuesta, entrevista y estadística descriptiva que permitieron procesar la información referente al tema objeto de investigación; así como determinar las causas de las insuficiencias que se presentan en el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje de la Física, para la formación de la cultura metrológica de los estudiantes de décimo grado. El sistema de tareas docentes integradoras propuesto se caracterizó por armonizar núcleos conceptuales básicos para el tratamiento a los contenidos metrológicos como son la estimación y medición de magnitudes y la conversión de unidades de medida; además de aprovechar las potencialidades del deporte y las clases de Educación Física.


Este artigo trata da formação da cultura metrológica em alunos da Educação Pré-Universitária, a partir das potencialidades das aulas de esportes e de Educação Física, como um dos elementos que devem ser priorizados no processo de ensino-aprendizagem de Física e como parte da preparação dos alunos para a vida. O objetivo deste trabalho foi conceber um sistema de tarefas didáticas integradoras que permita aproveitar as potencialidades do esporte, em geral, e das aulas de Educação Física, em particular, para a formação da cultura metrológica em alunos do décimo ano. Para desenvolver a pesquisa foram utilizados os seguintes métodos: analítico-sintético, indutivo-dedutivo, modelagem, observação, análise documental, levantamento, entrevista e estatística descritiva que permitiram o tratamento das informações referentes ao tema sob investigação; bem como determinar as causas das insuficiências que surgem no processo de ensino-aprendizagem de Física, para a formação da cultura metrológica dos alunos do décimo ano. O sistema de tarefas de ensino integrativo proposto caracterizou-se por harmonizar núcleos conceituais básicos para o tratamento de conteúdos metrológicos como a estimativa e medição de grandezas e a conversão de unidades de medida; além de aproveitar o potencial das aulas de esportes e Educação Física.


This article deals with the formation of metrological culture in Pre-University Education students, from the potential of sports and Physical Education classes, as one of the elements that must be prioritized in the teaching-learning process of Physics and as part of preparing students for life. The objective of this work was to design a system of integrative teaching tasks that allows taking advantage of the potential of sport, in general, and Physical Education classes, in particular, for the formation of metrological culture in tenth grade students. To develop the research, the following methods were used: analytical-synthetic, inductive-deductive, modeling, observation, documentary analysis, survey, interview and descriptive statistics that allowed the processing of information regarding the topic under investigation; as well as determine the causes of the insufficiencies that arise in the teaching-learning process of Physics, for the formation of the metrological culture of tenth grade students. The proposed system of integrative teaching tasks was characterized by harmonizing basic conceptual cores for the treatment of metrological content such as the estimation and measurement of magnitudes and the conversion of measurement units; in addition to taking advantage of potential of the sports and Physical Education classes.

ABSTRACT

Immature hematopoietic progenitors are a constant source for renewal of hemocyte populations and the basic component of the tissue and cell repair apparatus. A unique property of these cells of internalizing extracellular double-stranded DNA has been previously shown. The leukostimulatory effect demonstrated in our pioneering studies was considered to be due to the feature of this cell. In the present research, we have analyzed the effects of DNA genome reconstructor preparation (DNAgr), DNAmix, and human recombinant angiogenin on both hematopoietic stem cells and multipotent progenitors. Treatment with bone marrow cells of experimental mice with these preparations stimulates colony formation by hematopoietic stem cells and proliferation of multipotent descendants. The main lineage responsible for this is the granulocyte-macrophage hematopoietic lineage. Using fluorescent microscopy as well as FACS assay, co-localization of primitive c-Kit- and Sca-1-positive progenitors and the TAMRA-labeled double-stranded DNA has been shown. Human recombinant angiogenin was used as a reference agent. Cells with specific markers were quantified in intact bone marrow and colonies grown in the presence of inducers. Quantitative analysis revealed that a total of 14,000 fragment copies of 500 bp, which is 0.2% of the haploid genome, can be delivered into early progenitors. Extracellular double-stranded DNA fragments stimulated the colony formation in early hematopoietic progenitors from the bone marrow, which assumed their effect on cells in G0. The observed number of Sca1+/c-Kit+ cells in colonies testifies to the possibility of both symmetrical and asymmetrical division of the initial hematopoietic stem cell and its progeny.

ABSTRACT BACKGROUND: To the best of our knowledge, this is the first study to evaluate the effectiveness of specific concentrations of antibiofilm agents, such as N-acetyl cysteine (NAC), rifampicin, and ozone, for the treatment of pan-resistant Klebsiella pneumoniae (PRKp). OBJECTIVES: We evaluated the effectiveness of antibiofilm agents, such as NAC, rifampicin, and ozone, on biofilm formation in PRKp at 2, 6, 24, and 72 h. DESIGN AND SETTING: This single-center experimental study was conducted on June 15, 2017, and July 15, 2018, at Istanbul Faculty of Medicine, Istanbul University, Turkey. METHODS: Biofilm formation and the efficacy of these agents on the biofilm layer were demonstrated using colony counting and laser-screened confocal microscopy. RESULTS: NAC at a final concentration of 2 μg/mL was administered to bacteria that formed biofilms (24 h), and no significant decrease was detected in the bacterial counts of all isolates (all P > 0.05). Rifampicin with a final concentration of 0.1 μg/mL was administered to bacteria that formed biofilm (24 h), and no significant decrease was detected in bacterial count (all P > 0.05). Notably, ozonated water of even 4.78 mg/L concentration for 72 h decreased the bacterial count by ≥ 2 log10. CONCLUSION: Different approaches are needed for treating PRKp isolates. We demonstrate that PRKp isolates can be successfully treated with higher concentrations of ozone.

ABSTRACT

El crimen organizado se ha convertido en un flagelo a nivel internacional conformado por grupos al margen de la ley que realizan todo tipo de actividades que involucran desde tráfico de personas, secuestros, extorsiones, narcotráfico y muchos otros delitos. Producto de este fenómeno, la desaparición y ejecución de personas es cada día más frecuente, en muchos casos los cuerpos son quemados o desmembrados para impedir o hacer más difícil la identificación. La odontología forense se ha convertido en una disciplina transcendental en la identificación de cadáveres y restos óseos, además de contar con múltiples métodos para estimar la edad aproximada de una persona. Se presenta el caso de un descuartizamiento múltiple de tres individuos masculinos donde era indispensable identificar si alguno correspondía a una persona menor de 18 años.


Organized crime has become an international scourge made up of outlaw groups that carry out all kinds of activities ranging from human trafficking, kidnapping, extortion, drug trafficking and many more. As a result of this phenomenon, the disappearance and execution of people is becoming more frequent every day, in many cases the bodies are burned or dismembered to prevent or make identification more difficult. Forensic odontology has become a transcendental discipline in the identification of corpses and skeletal remains, in addition to having multiple methods to estimate the approximate age of a person. The case of a multiple dismemberment of three male individuals is presented, where it was essential to identify a person under 18 years of age.

Este estudo se propõe a mostrar que o francês Michel Foucault, em todas as suas obras, oferece ferramentas para que sejam compreendidos, sob diferentes óticas, os problemas da sociedade por meio de interpretações sobre o viver humano. O objetivo dessa revisão de literatura é entender de que forma o discurso organiza as vozes dos sujeitos, como reelabora os discursos proferidos e os faz circular segundo Foucault. Apresenta-se conceitos básicos da Análise de Discurso iniciada na França por Michel Pêcheuxem 1969. This study aims to show that French Foucault, in all his works, offers tools to understand, from different perspectives, the problems of society, through interpretations of human living. The objective of this literature review is to understand how discourse organizes the subjects' voices, how it reworks the speeches given and makes them circulate according to Foucault. It presents basic concepts of Discourse Analysis initiated in France by Michel Pêcheux in 1969. The study goes back and forth through the works, with support from several authors such as Pêcheux and Mainguineau who help in understanding and bringing together method, theory and practice. It is concluded that Michel Foucault's work highlights that everything created as knowledge offers countless possibilities for recreation and is in a permanent process of transformation AU

ABSTRACT

Objective. To analyze the concept of autonomy of nurses in Intensive Care Units (ICU). Methods. The hybrid model approach proposed by Schwartz-Barcott and Kim, which includes theoretical, fieldwork and analytical phases, was used for this study. For the theoretical and fieldwork phases, the Graneheim and Lundman stages and the CORE-Q checklist were used, and the results were combined in the final analysis phase. For the theoretical phase, 46 related articles, two instruments and four books were identified after using a search strategy in 7 bibliographic databases in English and one in Persian with the terms MESH: 'nursing', 'autonomy' and 'intensive care'. The information extracted in the theoretical phase served as the basis for the design of the questions used in the semi-structured interviews in the fieldwork phase. Eight nurses with ICU experience working in hospitals affiliated to Isfahan University of Medical Sciences (Iran) participated in the fieldwork phase. Results. The antecedents of the concept of nurse autonomy in ICUs were: empowerment of the workforce, organizational platform, and social and individual views of the profession. Its attributes were professionalism and high personal capabilities. Finally, increased personal competencies, promotion of quality of care, improved attitudes towards the profession and professional outcomes were noted as consequences. Conclusion. The autonomy of nurses in the ICU can facilitate their empowerment, which translates into the promotion of their caring behaviours, followed by the improvement of patient outcomes and quality of care.


Objetivo. Analizar el concepto de autonomía entre las enfermeras de la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos (UCI).Métodos. Para este estudio se utilizó el enfoque de modelo híbrido propuesto por Schwartz-Barcott y Kim que incluye las fases: teórica, de trabajo de campo y analítica. Para las fases teórica y de trabajo de campo se utilizaron las etapas de Graneheim y Lundman y la lista de comprobación CORE-Q, y los resultados se combinaron en la fase de análisis final. Para la fase teórica se identificaron 46 artículos relacionados, dos instrumentos y cuatro libros tras utilizar una estrategia de búsqueda en 7 bases de datos bibliográficas en inglés y otra en persa con los términos MESH: 'nursing', 'autonomy' e 'intensive care'. La información extraída en la fase teórica sirvió de base para el diseño de las preguntas que se utilizaron en las entrevistas semiestructuradas de la fase de trabajo de campo. En esta última fase participaron ocho enfermeras con experiencia en UCI que trabajaban en hospitales afiliados a la Universidad de Ciencias Médicas de Isfahan (Irán). Resultados. Los antecedentes del concepto de autonomía de las enfermeras en las Unidades de UCI fueron: el empoderamiento de la fuerza de trabajo, la plataforma organizativa y las opiniones sociales e individuales acerca de la profesión. Sus atributos fueron el profesionalismo y las grandes capacidades personales. Por último, se señalaron como consecuencias: el incremento de las competencias personales, la promoción de la calidad de los cuidados, la mejoría de las actitudes hacia la profesión y los resultados profesionales. Conclusión. La autonomía de las enfermeras en las UCI puede facilitar su empoderamiento, lo que se traduce en la promoción de sus conductas asistenciales, seguida de la mejora de los resultados de los pacientes y de la calidad asistencial.

Os antecedentes do conceito de autonomia dos enfermeiros nas Unidades de Terapia Intensiva foram: o empoderamento da força de trabalho, a plataforma organizacional e as opiniões sociais e individuais sobre a profissão. Seus atributos eram profissionalismo e grandes habilidades pessoais. Por fim, foram apontadas as seguintes consequências: o aumento das competências pessoais, a promoção da qualidade dos cuidados, a melhoria das atitudes perante a profissão e os resultados profissionais. Conclusão. A autonomia dos enfermeiros na UTI pode facilitar seu empoderamento, que se traduz na promoção de seus comportamentos assistenciais, seguida da melhoria dos resultados dos pacientes e da qualidade da assistência.

ABSTRACT

El crecimiento de la necesidad de información veraz ha llevado a que las revistas científicas se posicionen como medios de información confiables; lo cual hace que se requiera una necesidad de la profesionalización de esta labor que garantice la confiablidad y rigurosidad de las mismas. El objetivo de este manuscrito fue identificar las necesidades de formación de profesionales a cargo de la gestión editorial de las revistas científicas de la Universidad de Costa Rica. La investigación se realizó desde enero del 2019 hasta junio del 2020, por medio de un enfoque cualitativo de tipo descriptivo, con técnicas de recolección de este mismo enfoque. Se entrevistaron a las personas editoras y directoras de las principales revistas posicionadas en los primeros diez lugares del ranking UCR índex (a la fecha 4 de noviembre del 2019), se utilizó una entrevista semiestructurada con preguntas relacionadas a la identificación de actitudes, habilidades, conocimientos, necesidades de formación y el contexto en el que se desarrollan, estas representan las categorías de análisis utilizadas para el procesamiento de información. Entre los resultados se destacaron necesidades de formación en temáticas afines a los procesos administrativos relacionados con revistas, fundamentos de la gestión editorial, herramientas tecnológicas y el posicionamiento de las revistas; además se evidenciaron las cortas jornadas laborales que poseen los editores de revistas UCR. Se concluye que es imperativo que la UCR atienda estas necesidades de formación, además de fortalecer estos medios de divulgación del conocimiento y que se analice la oportunidad de ofrecer un programa de formación continua o bien una especialidad en gestión editorial.


The growth of the need for reliable information has led scientific journals to position themselves as reliable information media, which entails a need for the professionalization of this work that guarantees the reliability and rigor of this. The objective of this manuscript was to identify the training needs of the professionals in charge of the editorial management of the scientific journals of the University of Costa Rica. The research was carried out from January 2019 to June 2020, through a descriptive qualitative approach, with qualitative collection techniques. The editors and directors of the main journals positioned in the first ten places of the UCR index ranking (November 4th, 2019) were interviewed, a semi-structured interview was used with questions related to the identification of attitudes, skills, knowledge, training needs and the context in which they are developed, these represent the categories of analysis used for the processing of information. The main results shows that, training needs in topics related to the processes were highlighted, administrative issues related to journals, fundamentals of editorial management, technological tools and the positioning of journals; in addition, the short working hours that the editors of UCR magazines have were evidenced. It is concluded that it is imperative that the UCR meets these training needs, in addition to strengthening these means of disseminating knowledge and that the opportunity to offer a continuous training program or a specialty in editorial management be analyzed.

ABSTRACT

La calidad de la educación de posgrado concebida estratégicamente como la integración de la pertinencia social y la excelencia académica, deviene esencial en la gestión de las instituciones docente-asistenciales del sector salud. Sus múltiples dimensiones deben ser contextualizadas y son susceptibles de análisis y perfeccionamiento en cada servicio médico donde se desarrolla el proceso de formación de especialistas. Se utilizaron métodos teóricos y empíricos, para la identificación de las dificultades y la elaboración de la nueva propuesta. Se obtuvieron criterios sobre los servicios médicos como escenarios de formación, en los que se identificaron los problemas relativos a la actividad de posgrado. La propuesta consideró las directrices estratégicas, la población objeto de atención y los diferentes ámbitos temporales y espaciales identificados, con lo que pretende el fortalecimiento y desarrollo de la formación de posgrado en las Universidades de Ciencias Médicas en Cuba.


The quality of postgraduate education, strategically conceived as the integration of social relevance and academic excellence, becomes essential in the management of teaching-assistance institutions in the health sector. Its multiple dimensions must be contextualized and are susceptible to analysis and improvement in each medical service where the specialist formation process takes place. Theoretical and empirical methods were used, for the identification of the difficulties and the elaboration of the new proposal. Criteria on medical services were obtained as training scenarios, in which problems related to postgraduate activity were identified. The objective of the work is to expose a proposal of variables, indicators and evaluation criteria in the service as a scenario the specialist's formation. The proposal was considered the strategic guidelines, the target population and the different temporal and spatial areas identified, with which it intends to strengthen and develop postgraduate training in the Medical Sciences Universities in Cuba.

ABSTRACT

Analisar as concepções sobre competição esportiva em publicações acadêmicas brasileiras é o foco deste trabalho. Utilizando-se da revisão sistemática, do tipo estado da arte, foram analisados 175 artigos no recorte temporal 2010-2020 (11 anos) em 14 revistas da área da Educação Física. Há parcimônia dos/as autores/as quanto a complexidade da competição e foram salutares indicativas do rememorar a essência do tema; independente da área de conhecimento específico, foram recorrentes indicativos de um processo respeitoso e pedagógico da competição aos praticantes. Ademais, confirmam que amadores e profissionais; homens e mulheres; idosos e jovens, todos podem (e devem) ter a opção da experiência esportiva no âmbito competitivo (AU).


Analyzing the concepts about sports competition in Brazilian academic publication is the objective of this paper. Using the state-of-art systematic review, 175 articles were considered from 14 Physical Education Journals from 2010 to 2020 (11 years). There is parsimony by the authors regarding the complexity of the competition and greetings indicative of remembering the essence of the theme; regardless of the area of specific knowledge, there were recurrent indicators of a respectful and pedagogical process of the competition for practitioners. Also, it was confirmed that amateurs and professionals; men and women; elderly and young; everyone can (and should) have the possibility of sporting experience in the competitive environment (AU).


Analizar las concepciones sobre la competición deportiva en las publicaciones académicas brasileñas es el foco de este trabajo. Utilizando la revisión sistemática del tipo estado del arte, se buscarán 175 artículos en el período de 2010-2020 en 14 revistas del área de Educación Física. Hay parcimônia a la complejidad de la competición y fueron saludos indicativos de recordar la esencia del tema; independientemente del área de conocimiento específico, fueron recurrentes indicativos para un proceso respetuoso y pedagógico de la competencia por practicantes. También confirman que los atletas aficionados y profesionales; hombres y mujeres; ancianos y jóvenes, todos pueden (y deben) tener la opción de la experiencia deportiva en el entorno competitivo

ABSTRACT

Gallstone is a common and frequent disease and frequent incidence, secondary infection and cancer seriously affect the health of patients. Academic organizations in different regions have issued multiple guidelines and consensus to promote the normative diagnosis and treatment of gallstones. However, in clinical practice, most symptomatic gallstones are treated, while the formation and prevention process of gallstones are ignored, making the concept of treating without a disease has not been strengthened.This article reviews the risk factors and mechanisms of gallstone formation, and points out the importance of effective prevention during stone formation. In the stage of gallstone formation, the high risk factors of stone formation can be analyzed through two aspects of injury factors and protective factors, and the high risk groups of stone formation can be screened out. According to the pathophysiological progression of gallstones, personalized prevention and follow-up strategies can be developed for the stone formation stage of gallstones.

Aims@#Heterologous holoenzyme formation of ribulose-1,5-bisphosphate carboxylase/oxygenase (Rubisco) has been a challenge due to a limited understanding of its biogenesis. Unlike bacterial Rubiscos, eukaryotic Rubiscos are incompatible with the Escherichia coli (E. coli) chaperone system to fold and assemble into the functional hexadecameric conformation (L8S8), which comprises eight large subunits (RbcL) and eight small subunits (RbcS). Our previous study reported three sections (residues 248-297, 348-397 and 398-447) within the RbcL of Synechococcus elongatus PCC6301, which may be important for the formation of L8S8 in E. coli. The present study further examined these three sections separately, dividing them into six sections of 25 residues (i.e., residues 248-272, 273-297, 348-372, 373-397, 398-422 and 423-447).@*Methodology and results@#Six chimeric Rubiscos with each section within the RbcL from Synechococcus replaced by their respective counterpart sequence from Chlamydomonas reinhardtii were constructed and checked for their effect on holoenzyme formation in E. coli. The present study shows that Section 1 (residues 248-272; section of Synechococcus RbcL replaced by corresponding Chlamydomonas sequence), Section 2 (residues 273-297), Section 3 (residues 348-372) and Section 6 (residues 423-447) chimeras failed to fold and assemble despite successful expression of both RbcL and RbcS. Only Section 4 (residues 373-397) and 5 (residues 398-422) chimeras could form L8S8 in E. coli.@*Conclusion, significance and impact of study@#GroEL chaperonin mediates the folding of bacterial RbcL in E. coli. ABSTRACT

Abstract@#Alzheimer's disease (AD) is a neurodegenerative disease characterized by deposition of β-amyloid (Aβ). Liver X receptors (LXRs), a member of the nuclear receptor transcription factor superfamily, are widely expressed in brain, which may be involved in the development and progression of AD. Based on the international and national publications pertaining to the association between LXRs and AD from 2010 to 2022, this review summarizes the advances on the involvement of LXRs in the regulation of cholesterol metabolism, inflammatory response and synapse formation in the pathogenesis of AD was reviewed, so as to provide insights into the prevention and treatment of AD.

@#It has been traditionally believed that a 1:1 cortical bone remodeling/tooth movement ratio has been preserved during orthodontic treatment for tooth movement, with the alveolar bone on the tension side growing and the alveolar bone on the pressure side resorbing to maintain the balance of the alveolar bone. However, recent studies have shown that alveolar bone loss has been found in patients who have undergone orthodontic treatment, suggesting that the alveolar bone does not change as the teeth change over time. Whether the morphology of the alveolar bone will change when the anterior teeth are moved has been the clinical focus. The changes of anterior alveolar bone in patients who have undergone tooth extraction after orthodontic treatment were summerized by literature review in this paper. The results of the review showed that the alveolar bone at the lingual/palatal root-cervical site of the anterior root is more prone to bone loss after extensive movement of the anterior teeth. With the development of imaging technology, CBCT is now more commonly used for analysis instead of two-dimensional images for measurement, as its results are more accurate. However, there are few multifactorial studies in which CBCT has been used to assess the morphological changes in the alveolar bone. The focus of future research is to compare the long-term changes in the anterior alveolar bone of patients of different ages based on three-dimensional imaging, and to study the correlation between different skeletal features, tooth movement patterns and alveolar bone remodeling.

OBJECTIVE To systemically sort out the main practices of local drug online procurement, so as to provide reference for national and local governments to improve drug online procurement policies and drug price formation mechanism. METHODS By searching the official websites of 31 provincial medical security bureaus and drug-centralized procurement platforms in China, the classification methods and main goals of local drug online procurement were summarized, then the main practices of local drug online procurement were analyzed based on the main goals, and corresponding suggestion was put forward. RESULTS & CONCLUSIONS There were two classification methods of online drug procurement in each province, one is based on online or purchase methods, and the other is based on drug dimensions. Five main objectives of online drug procurement in each province are to ensure reasonable drug prices, meet clinical drug demand, ensure stable drug supply, cooperate with the implementation of drug policies, and standardize the behavior of transaction subjects. In order to achieve the five goals, each province has taken some targeted measures, but the severity of the policy varies greatly. In order to further improve the online drug procurement policy and improve the market-oriented online drug price formation mechanism, it is suggested to build the top-level design of online drug procurement, strengthen the management of the price comparison relationship of similar drugs, give full play to the monitoring function of the drug-centralized procurement platform and establish a national unified drug-centralized procurement platform.

ABSTRACT

Objective @# To investigate the outcomes of a novel direct pulp capping agent containing platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) and mineral trioxide aggregate (MTA). @*Methods @# A total of 32 New Zealand rabbits were randomly divided into 4 groups, namely, the PRF+MTA group (P+M group), PRF group (P group), MTA group (M group) and blank control group (BC group), with 8 rabbits per group. Dental pulp exposure and direct pulp capping were performed, and complete crown square sealing was performed on 2 mandibular central incisor teeth of each rabbit. Four rabbits from each group were euthanized after each observation period (7 and 28 days). The experimental teeth were subjected to HE staining. Inflammatory cell infiltration, calcified bridge formation and pulp tissue disorganization were observed and graded. @*Results@#Inflammatory cell infiltration: on the 7th day, group P+M and group M were lighter than group BC (P<0.05); on the 28th day, group P+M was lighter than group P and group BC (P<0.05); group P+M and group M did not significantly differ (P>0.05). Calcified bridge formation: on the 7th and 28th days, group P+M was lighter than group P, group M and group BC (P<0.05); on the 28th day, group M was higher than group BC (P<0.05). Under microscope, the calcified bridge contained cellular components and was surrounded by odontoblast-like cells, sharing a structure resembled osteodentin; dentin tubule-like structure could not be observed in calcified bridge, and the calcified bridge resembled certain points of osteodentin. Pulp tissue disorganization: on the 7th day, group P+M and group M were lighter than group BC (P<0.05); on the 28th day, group P+M was lighter than group P and group BC (P<0.05). group P+M and group M did not significantly differ (P>0.05). @*Conclusion @# The combination of PRF and MTA for direct pulp capping provided light inflammatory cell infiltration, stable pulp status and a strong ability of pulp tissue to form calcified bridge, and the calcified bridge resembled certain points of osteodentin.

ABSTRACT

This study aimed to investigate the effects of Erxian Decoction(EXD)-containing serum on the proliferation and osteogenic differentiation of MC3T3-E1 cells under oxidative stress through BK channels. The oxidative stress model was induced in MC3T3-E1 cells by H_2O_2, and 3 mmol·L~(-1) tetraethylammonium(TEA) chloride was used to block the BK channels in MC3T3-E1 cells. MC3T3-E1 cells were divided into a control group, a model group, an EXD group, a TEA group, and a TEA+EXD group. After MC3T3-E1 cells were treated with corresponding drugs for 2 days, 700 μmol·L~(-1) H_2O_2 was added for treatment for another 2 hours. CCK-8 assay was used to detect cell proliferation activity. The alkaline phosphatase(ALP) assay kit was used to detect the ALP activity of cells. Western blot and real-time fluorescence-based quantitative PCR(RT-qPCR) were used to detect protein and mRNA expression, respectively. Alizarin red staining was used to detect the mineralization area of osteoblasts. The results showed that compared with the control group, the model group showed significantly blunted cell proliferation activity and ALP activity, reduced expression of BK channel α subunit(BKα), collagen Ⅰ(COL1), bone morphogenetic protein 2(BMP2), osteoprotegerin(OPG), and phosphorylated Akt, decreased mRNA expression levels of Runt-related transcription factor 2(RUNX2), BMP2, and OPG, and declining area of calcium nodules. EXD-containing serum could significantly potentiate the cell proliferation activity and ALP activity, up-regulate the protein expression of BKα, COL1, BMP2, OPG, and phosphorylated Akt, and forkhead box protein O1(FoxO1), promote the mRNA expression of RUNX2, BMP2, and OPG, and enlarge the area of calcium nodules. However, BK channel blockage by TEA reversed the effects of EXD-containing serum in promoting the protein expression of BKα, COL1, BMP2, OPG, and phosphorylated Akt and FoxO1, increasing the mRNA expression of RUNX2, BMP2, and OPG, and enlarging the area of calcium nodules. EXD-containing serum could improve the proliferation activity, osteogenic differentiation, and mineralization ability of MC3T3-E1 cells under oxidative stress, which might be related to the regulation of BK channels and downstream Akt/FoxO1 signaling pathway.

ABSTRACT

Neurons migrate from their birthplaces to the destinations, and extending axons navigate to their synaptic targets by sensing various extracellular cues in spatiotemporally controlled manners. These evolutionally conserved guidance cues and their receptors regulate multiple aspects of neural development to establish the highly complex nervous system by mediating both short- and long-range cell-cell communications. Neuronal guidance genes (encoding cues, receptors, or downstream signal transducers) are critical not only for development of the nervous system but also for synaptic maintenance, remodeling, and function in the adult brain. One emerging theme is the combinatorial and complementary functions of relatively limited classes of neuronal guidance genes in multiple processes, including neuronal migration, axonal guidance, synaptogenesis, and circuit formation. Importantly, neuronal guidance genes also regulate cell migration and cell-cell communications outside the nervous system. We are just beginning to understand how cells integrate multiple guidance and adhesion signaling inputs to determine overall cellular/subcellular behavior and how aberrant guidance signaling in various cell types contributes to diverse human diseases, ranging from developmental, neuropsychiatric, and neurodegenerative disorders to cancer metastasis. We review classic studies and recent advances in understanding signaling mechanisms of the guidance genes as well as their roles in human diseases. Furthermore, we discuss the remaining challenges and therapeutic potentials of modulating neuronal guidance pathways in neural repair.

ABSTRACT

Self-assembly refers to the spontaneous process where basic units such as molecules and nanostructured materials form a stable and compact structure. Peptides can self-assemble by non-covalent driving forces to form various morphologies such as nanofibers, nano layered structures, and micelles. Peptide self-assembly technology has become a hot research topic in recent years due to the advantages of definite amino acid sequences, easy synthesis and design of peptides. It has been shown that the self-assembly design of certain peptide drugs or the use of self-assembled peptide materials as carriers for drug delivery can solve the problems such as short half-life, poor water solubility and poor penetration due to physiological barrier. This review summarizes the formation mechanism of self-assembled peptides, self-assembly morphology, influencing factors, self-assembly design methods and major applications in biomedical field, providing a reference for the efficient use of peptides.

Este artigo se propõe a discutir a pertinência e a dinâmica do funcionamento do dispositivo de démarche clínica na formação de professores. Partindo da constatação dos limites da abordagem hegemônica na formação docente - aqui denominada abordagem cientificizante com método dedutivo -, levanta-se como hipótese que um trabalho de escuta de professores em grupos de discussão de casos - abordagem clínica com método indutivo -, nos quais se parte dos impasses que surgem no trabalho docente, permite levantar elementos que promovem um modo particular de implicação do professor na teorização de seu trabalho. Para tanto, discutiremos a posição da démarche clínica no interior do campo da formação docente, bem como analisaremos, através de fragmentos de trabalho nos grupos de escuta de professores, o funcionamento e a eficácia destes grupos na formação docente

This article discusses the relevance and functioning dynamics of the clinical démarchein teacher training. Based on the limits of the hegemonic approach in teacher training - here called the scientific approach with deductive method -, it is hypothesized that listening to teachers engaged in case discussion groups - clinic approach with inductive method.-, in which discussion starts from the challenges that stem from teaching, allows highlighting elements that promote a particular way of teacher involvement in the theorization of their work. To do so, we will discuss the place of the clinical démarche within teacher education and analyze, through fragments of work in teacher listening groups, the functioning and effectiveness of such groups in teacher training


Cet article traite de la pertinence et de la dynamique de fonctionnement de la démarche clinique dans la formation des enseignants. Partant du constat des limites de l'approche hégémonique dans la formation des enseignants - ici appelée approche scientifique avec méthode déductive -, on fait l'hypothèse que l'écoute des enseignants en groupes de discussion de cas - approche clinique avec méthode inductive -, dans lesquels la discussion part des défis qui découlent de l'enseignement, permet de mettre en en évidence des éléments qui favorisent une manière particulière d'implication des enseignants dans la théorisation de leur travail. Pour ce faire, nous discuterons de laplace de la démarche clinique au sein de la formation des enseignants et analyserons, à travers des fragments de travail dans des groupes d'écoute d'enseignants, le fonctionnement et l'efficacité de tels groupes dans la formation des enseignants

Os estudos sobre ocupação têm informado parte da área de Terapia Ocupacio-nal, notadamente no contexto anglo-saxão e, muitas vezes, tidos como diretrizes em nível mundial. Contudo, há um aumento dos debates em torno da diversidade teórico-metodológica radicada localmente, o que envolve histórias, culturas e vocabulários próprios. Objetiva-se apresentar e discutir conceitos que se relacionam ao lócus da ação terapêutico-ocupacional: atividade humana, ocupação, cotidiano e modos de vida, assim como aqueles relacionados à finalidade da atuação profissional: engajamento ocupacional, inserção/inclusão social, emancipação/autonomia e participação social, a partir da realidade brasileira. Postula-se a defesa de que parte destes conceitos auxilia a centralização das ações terapêutico-ocupacionais, tomando-se os sujeitos e a vida social. Por sua vez, a Ciência Ocupacional tem desenvolvido pesquisas sobre a relevância do social em seus referenciais. Questiona-se, então, a possibilidade de diálogos entre Terapia Ocupacional e Ciência Ocupacional, na composição do campo científico da área. Defende-se que é preciso que se reconheça a pluralidade de vocabulários, histórias e culturas em curso, inclusive rediscutindo-se o próprio conceito de ocupação. Intenciona-se contribuir com diálogos horizontais, com vistas a ampliar a produção de conhecimentos e a valorizar diferentes perspectivas teóricas e assistenciais que informam a Terapia Ocupacional.


Los estudios sobre ocupación han fundamentado parte del campo de la Tera-pia Ocupacional, principalmente en el contexto anglosajón, y con frecuencia se les ha tomado como directrices mundiales. Sin embargo, han aumentado los debates alrededor de la diversidad teórico-metodológica construida local-mente, lo que implica historias, culturas y vocabularios propios. Se busca pre-sentar y discutir, a partir de la realidad brasileña, conceptos relacionados con el locus de la acción terapéutico-ocupacional: actividad humana, ocupación, cotidiano y modos de vida, así como otros relacionados con la finalidad de la actuación profesional: compromiso ocupacional, inserción/inclusión social, emancipación/autonomía y participación social. Se argumenta que algunos de esos conceptos ayudan a poner a los sujetos y la vida social en el centro de las acciones terapéutico-ocupacionales. La Ciencia Ocupacional, por su parte, ha desarrollado investigaciones sobre la relevancia de lo social en su base de conocimiento. Se cuestiona, entonces, la posibilidad de entablar diálogos entre Terapia Ocupacional y Ciencia Ocupacional, en la composición del campo científico del área. Se sostiene que es necesario reconocer la pluralidad de vocabularios, historias y culturas, rediscutiendo, incluso, el concepto de ocupación. Se pretende contribuir con diálogos horizontales, con miras a ampliar la producción de conocimientos y valorar diferentes perspectivas teóricas y prácticas que sirvan como base para la Terapia Ocupacional.


Studies addressing occupation have informed part of the Occupational Thera-py field, notably in the Anglo-Saxon context. They are often considered world-wide guidelines. However, there is an increasing debate around locally rooted theoretical-methodological diversity involving particular histories, cultures, and vocabularies. The objective is to present and discuss, from a Brazilian perspective, concepts related to the locus of occupational therapists' action ­ human activity, occupation, cotidiano (everyday life), and ways of life ­ as well as those associated with the purposes of professional practice ­ occupational engagement, social insertion/inclusion, emancipation/autonomy, and social participation. It is argued that some of these concepts help centralizing subjects and social life in the occupational-therapeutic activites. In turn, Occupational Science has developed research on the relevance of the social aspect to its framework. Therefore, the possibility of dialogues between Occupational Therapy and Occupational Science in the composition of the scientific field of the area is discussed. It is argued that there is a need to recognize the plurality of current vocabularies, histories and cultures, including re-discussing the concept of occupation. The aim is to contribute with horizontal dialogues, expanding the production of knowledge and valuing different theoretical and practical perspectives that inform Occupational Therapy
